dear drs mtuhen,

i'm new to (latent) growth modelling and tried the following simple growth model to start with lie on p.83 of the user's guide (besides that my variables are categorical):

...
Categorical are sage_2-sage_33;

Missing are all (-9999) ;
WEIGHT IS WT;
Analysis:
ESTIMATOR = MLR;
ALGORITHM = INTEGRATION;

Model:
u v w | sage_2@0 ... sage_33@31;

then i got the odd parameter estimates below. what did i do wrong?

thanks a lot in advance,
michael höfler

MODEL RESULTS

Estimates

U |
SAGE_2 1.000
SAGE_3 1.000
SAGE_4 1.000
SAGE_5 1.000
etc.

u is the intercept growth factor and all loadings are fixed to one for the intercept growth factor. See the growth model examples in Chapter 6 and also the table in Chapter 16 where you see the growth model parameterizations behind the growth model language of the | statement.
