I am working on an honors psych project. I did not run the analysis for the project but I believe we ran a HLM on longitudinal data. I have the output but I am unsure of how to read it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For hypothesis 1 we tested whether the slope of depression correlated with the slope of PTSD over time.
Estimate S.E. Est./S.E. Two-Tailed S with
S2 16.958 4.891 3.467 0.001
For hypothesis 2 we tested wether the severity of depression at baseline would effect PTSD symptom recovery overtime.
Estimate S.E. Est./S.E. Two-Tailed
S on
BDITOTBL 0.021 0.072 0.287 0.774

It looks like Mplus output. The results are simple to summarize:

For hypothesis 1 the slope covariance is significant.

For hypothesis 2 the effect is not significant.
