I am looking at the measurement invariance of a patient outcome measure collected at admission and discharge. The length of stay of the patients ranged from 5 to 480 days. That is to say, the time between admission and discharge ranged from 5 to 480 days.

Does the method that describes in the “multiple indicator growth example in the Topic 4 course handout” (slides 86-91) only apply to longitudinal data structure in which participants are measured at fixed time points (measurement waves)? If so, how should I test measurement invariance across non-fixed time points.
Thanks a lot!

Q1: No.

Look up TSCORES in the UG index for how to do what you want.
