Dear forum discussion,

I would like to better understand the difference between latent class growth analysis and grouped-based models. Mplus is not based on grouped-based models, is it true? And which are the advantatges of each one?

Thanks in advance,

Laura.

Perhaps "group-based models" is a Nagin TRAJ term. If so, they are the same except in the Mplus LCGA, the residual variance can be different across time.
