Linda,

I am fitting a lgc model with six waves of data and 427 people. My chi-square significance is p = .04. But the other fit statistics are CFI (0.97) TLI (0.96) RMSEA (0.030). What is your opinion of this model's fit even though the chi-square is significant, but the other approximate fit indexes indicate a good fit?

I would say this sounds reasonable but would explore other model specifications as well.

One more question, if these were the best fit statistics I could get, would you consider the results publishable?

It's hard to say. Whether the results are publishable depends on more than just the fit statistics.
