Dr Muthen,

I collected data on children's disclosure over 4 waves. Children's disclosure (varialbe name = y) is measured by two indicators ( x1 and x2). Now I want to model the trajectory of children's disclosure over the four waves (see below for the scripts I wrote). Since I want to compare the means of children's dislcosure across boys and girls. I am wondering what command should I add to get the mean of the intercept and slope. With my currrent scripts, the mean of the intercept of children's disclosure is estimated as 0.

Could you please have a look at my script and give some suggestions on how to revise? Thanks much!

Title: practise mplus for real data
Data: File is h:\DS.dat;
Variable: Names are id x11 x12 x21 x22 x31 x32 x41 x42;
Usevariables are x11 x12 x21 x22 x31 x32 x41 x42;
Missing are all (999);
Model: y1 BY x11 x12 ;
y2 BY x21 x22 ;
y3 BY x31 x32;
y4 BY x41 x42;

Please see the Topic 4 course handout under multiple indicator growth to see the proper specification of such a growth model.
