Dear Linda, I wonder if it makes sense to include additional variables in a LGC model when the slope turned out with a non-significant mean and variance ( i.e, no growth)? Is it possible that these demographic variables would have an impact on the intercept and slope even though? Thank you, |

You can regress the growth factors on covariates even if the growth factor variances are not shown to be significantly different from zero. Adding the covariates may bring more power. |
