Hi,
Am trying to run a simple mediator analysis of variables that are nominal(dependent, independent, and mediator). Kindly help me with a syntax that can enable me do this.
In-case I also want to check for interaction between X and Y by another variable, say Z (that is also nominal), do I have to run it separately or can I use Mplus.
Thanks a lot.
Joram.

Having a nominal mediator creates an extremely complex analysis. This is discussed in the following paper which is available on the website:

Muthén, B. (2011). Applications of causally defined direct and indirect effects in mediation analysis using SEM in Mplus.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I have gone through the article and is indeed complex. One further clarification. Is it the same if the moderator variable is dichotomous?
Thanks

No.
