Hi,

I wanted to use Monte Carlo to make a one PL IRT model simulation. But I checked the Mplus User's Guide, there is no example for how to make these kind of simulation. I am wondering that could you give me the example code how to perform the IRT model simulation using Monte Carlo? Like how to set up the difficulty parameter for each item?

Thank you so much,
Yue

Just hold all factor loadings fixed at 1. See Monte Carlo examples on our website for all our UG examples.

Thank you. Could I ask a dumb question? What is UG? Is it unidimentional model? But all the Monte Carlo examples provided in the website are on the User's guide. And I did not find one is relevant to IRT. So could you be more specific? Thank you so much!

UG = User's Guide.

See UG example 5.5 Monte Carlo runs at
