First, I'm not sure where this goes; this particular question refers to what should be a straightforward mediation model with continuous variables, so I'll start here and mods can move this if need be.

On to the problem. I'm running 3 different mediation models with bootstrap = 5000. Each has a different mediating variable but the same independent and dependent variables. When I run these models, I get exactly the same output data for each one even though I've changed the mediating variable.

This is the syntax from one model for an example. The only difference is that "ZInfISscore" is replaced with a different variable in the other models.

TITLE: ROBERT'S DISSERTATION;
DATA: FILE IS "E:\dissertation\data file 3-8-11.dat";
VARIABLE: NAMES ARE Inttotal Exttotal Questtotal NeoOpenTscore ZInfISscore;
USEVARIABLES ARE Inttotal Exttotal Questtotal NeoOpentscore ZInfISscore;

MODEL: Inttotal ON ZInfISscore NeoOpenTscore;
Exttotal ON ZInfISscore NeoOpenTscore;
Questtotal ON ZInfISscore NeoOpenTscore;
ZInfISscore ON NeoOpentscore;

ANALYSIS: BOOTSTRAP=5000;

MODEL INDIRECT: Inttotal IND NeoOpentscore;
Exttotal IND NeoOpentscore;
Questtotal IND NeoOpentscore;

I'm really not sure what this means. Thanks.

Please send the three outputs as attachments along with your license number to support@statmodel.com.

Got it figured out. Thanks, though.
