Dear Linda and Bengt Muthén, I want to save factor scores of bifactor models in multiple waves across time, and I have been told to save them in tandem in order to be able to use them as input for GMM. I use binary indicators and WSLMV estimation using Delta parameterization. It makes more sense to me to specify same-factor correlations across time (stability) using the ON command, but only WITH is possible with WSLMV+Delta. Is that correct and does it matter for the factor scores I intend to save if I use WITH instead of ON? Thank you, Kind regards, Marike Deutz |

You can use WITH as well. You need to use measurement invariance. |

Dear Bengt, I indeed use measurement invariance for 3 waves (using WLSMV/Delta) to create a model from which I intend to save factor scores. Do I understand you correctly that when specifying MI over time to save factor scores, it is okay to use WITH? Is it not possible at all to use ON? Kind regards, Marike Deutz |

Results are the same if you use the same number of ON parameters as WITH parameters. |

Thank you! |
