I have some familiarity with GMM but have only used it for linear growth. A colleague is putting together a grant proposal - the analyses will use GMM to examine change in symptoms across time. The PI is proposing 5 different potential trajectories - most are linear but at least one is quadratic. Can linear and nonlinear growth be handled in GMM? Thanks.

Yes, a quadratic model can be estimated with GMM.
