Hi,
I noticed that in the hidden Markov, as well as the LTA model, it is possible to have more than one latent class variable. Example 8.12, for example, has four latent class variables:
CLASSES = c1(2) c2(2) c3(2) c4(2)
However, in both cases, the latent class variables do not share indicators directly. That is, c1 might influence u1-4, while c2 might influence u5-u8, but they never share indicators u3-6, for example.
Is it possible to make two latent class variables directly influence the same indicator?
Best,
Guillaume
