Hi, I am so sorry to bother you ,I have a question for learning LCGM and GMM . Firstly, When I read the Mplus User's Guide Version 7, I found the syntax of LCGM and GMM is similar extremely, the difference between LCGM and GMM is just the GMM has a variable "x". Is the difference between LCGM and GMM? Secondly, the syntax "VARIABLE: NAMES ARE y1-y4; CLASSES = c (2); ANALYSIS: TYPE = MIXTURE; STARTS = 40 8; MODEL: %OVERALL% i s| y1@0 y2@1 y3@2 y4@3; OUTPUT: SAMPSTAT TECH1 TECH4 TECH8; Plot: type is plot3; series are y1(0) y2(1) y3(2) y4(3);"is LCGM or GMM ? thanks! |

The difference between LCGA and GMM is that in LCGA the variances and covariances of the growth factors are zero and in GMM they are free to be estimated. See the Topic 6 course video and handout on the website. |
