Cohort sequential designs |

Hi, I am considering using multiple cohorts for a new study. One of my study aims requires a multi-group parallel process growth curve model, assessing the effects of process a on process b. Reading through example 6.18, it would appear that sequential process designs involve multi-group modeling, as each cohort represents a unique group. So, would it be possible to do what I am seeking to do yet taking advantage of the full data? In other words, would it be possible to assess the effects by sex for instance (a two group model) when I'm already using multi-group modeling to include the multiple cohorts? I hope I make myself clear. |

You can have both multiple groups representing gender and a multiple group multiple cohort design. You need to define the groups such that each cohort has a male and female group. |

This sounds very interesting. I'm doing a Monte Carlo for power. I'll give it a go. Thanks, DR |
