Hello,

I am planning a study in which I want to compare two sets of latent classes. I have one set of 5 indicators for mathematics motivation and another 5 for science motivation. The idea is to identify the latent classes for each set of indicators and then compare membership in each set of classes.

Is there a way to compare how cases classify between these two sets of classes?

Thank you,
Lori

You can look at the relationship between the two sets of classes by asking for PARAMETERIZATION=LOGLINEAR in the ANALYSIS command and having c1 WITH c2 in the MODEL command.

Hello,

Do you have an example of code to find two sets of latent classes in the same data set. I want one latent class set to be based on four indicators and the other to be created based on five different indicators. How do I tell Mplus which indicators go with which set of latent classes?

Thank you,
Lori

See Example 7.14.
