Hello,

We've recently upgraded to Mplus version 4 and I was hoping to be able to change the reference class in my conditional LCGA, so that the multinomial regression coefficients are displayed in terms of a different latent class to the default latent class. I'm not sure how to do this and having gone through the Manual pages 454 and 467-468 seem to suggest that the reference latent class is fixed, even in version 4. Is this so? If not how do I specify a different reference latent class in my input set up?

Thanks in anticpation.

Louise.

If I understand your question, the output in Version 4 gives the results in terms of each class as the reference class. Look at the output after the results.

Linda,

Thank-you very much for your help, it works! I've just re-run all my models and got the covariate parameters with different default latent class.

Louise
