Hello,
I'm looking for papers published using LVMM with two growth processes. I'm conducting a study looking at joint trajectories of smoking and physical activity. Do you know of any published examples in the literature using this method? I haven't been successful in locating any examples myself.

This question comes up with some regularity. I played with joint smoking and drinking processes when analyzing the Sher-Jackson model using LCGA and that is mentioned in our teaching handouts.

I may be wrong but I don't think there is a paper on that in our Growth Mixture Modeling paper section. But there really isn't much difficulty in doing it. One decision is if each process should have its own latent class variable or if there should be one for both. The Mplus input is rather straightforward even with 2 latent class variables using

Model c1:
...
Model c2:
...

Perhaps you will write the paper to which I can refer others. I would think there are several interesting application angles.

Thanks Bengt,
I hope you will like it when it's published :-)
