Dear Professor Muthen,

From the Mplus output, it is my impression that a latent transition analysis with T timepoints and K classes for each timepoint, is dealt by estimating T^K classes, each corresponding to a particular transition path.

Is this correct?

Best,
Guillaume

I think you mean K^T classes, so:

K*K*...*K

Thank you for your answer!

As you guessed I meant K^T classes, each corresponding to a trajectory pattern.

I guess this is indeed how Mplus operates?

Best,
Guillaume
