Hi. I have a few questions about constraining the transition parameters in LTA models. 1. In a model with 2 time points and 2 latent classes at each time, with 4 indicators, how do I constrain the transition parameters so that I have a stability-only model? 2. Same scenario and question as #1, but for a model with 3 latent classes at each of the 2 time points. 3. Same scenario and question as #2, but for a model with 3 latent classes at 3 time points. Thanks so much! |

If you send your email address to support@statmodel.com, we can send you Mplus input using an example from the Mooijaart (1998) publication referred to in in Version 3 User's Guide. Although that example has only a single indicator per time point, combining this with UG example 8.13 answers your question. 3 instead of 2 classes does not add complications and neither does 3 instead of 2 time points. |
