I save my data by SPSS, but I find the SPSS files cannot be run by Mplus, What kind of data type can be used in Mplus?

Mplus reads numeric ASCII files. See the DATA option in the user's guide for further information.

Dear Linda,

From your old discussion panel I find such a weblink can solve the problem.

There is a piece of software that converts SPSS files to an MPLUS format. Its called N2MPLUS.
Here's the link
http://www.danielsoper.com/n2mplus/

It seems can work but I cannot find the the output of result .This is my syntax, is it right?

DATA: File is 'G:\la.dat';

VARIABLE: NAMES ARE V D A E C;
CLASSES = c(2);

ANALYSIS: TYPE = MIXTURE;

MODEL:
%overall%

OUTPUT:
tech1 tech8;

SAVEDATA:

Result ARE 'G:\outcome';

Best regards,

Qiao

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you run the input from the Mplus editor, the output will appear when the analysis is completed.

SPSS can also save data in a text format which can be used directly in Mplus.
