Dear, Is there a general rule of how many participants are needed in a file with 10 variables (8 scales, age and sex) to conduct latent class analysis on? Thank your very much!!! Elien, PhD student |

No, there is no set rule for this. You would need to do a Monte Carlo study to determine this. See the following paper which is available on the website: Muthén, L.K. & Muthén, B.O. (2002).
