Dear Linda/Bengt,

It’s my understanding that it’s possible to use a combination of categorical and continuous indicators for a particular categorical latent variable when conducting a confirmatory LCA? When I try to do this I keep getting an error message concerning the continuous indicators. These are my model statements, and Age, REd (education), CIVITAS1, and CIVITAS4 are continuous variables.

MODEL:
%OVERALL%
Demo with CIVITAS;

MODEL Demo:
%Demo#1%
[Age$1 REd$1 RMarital$1 RHealth$1];
%Demo#2%
[Age$1 REd$1 RMarital$1 RHealth$1];

MODEL CIVITAS:
%CIVITAS#1%
[CIVITAS1$1 CIVITAS4$1 CIVITAS5$1 CIVITAS7$1];
%CIVITAS#2%
[CIVITAS1$1 CIVITAS4$1 CIVITAS5$1 CIVITAS7$1];

Many thanks for any help you can provide with this, and for all of the help wiith my past questions!
