When imputing data, does Mplus utilize all of the variables in the dataset (variables list) or only the variables in the usevariables list?
If my SEM includes only 50 variables, and my overall dataset has 200 variables, is there any advantage to converting the entire dataset to a .dat file rather than only the variables I need for the analysis?

Q1. Only the variables on the USEV list.
Q2. I would work from a single data set containing all variables and use USEV to select the variables for a particular model. This way, there is only one data set to keep track of. |
