I just noticed that under WLSMV, the number of free parameters seem to differ across EFA and ESEM setup. The actual chi-square and degree of freedom are the same exactly, but the number of freedom is a lot lower in the EFA setup. I guess the model estimation is exactly the same, but I wonder why the numbers of free parameter are different.
