Good afternoon, I am working with a GIS data set and it includes MSA's (metropolitan statistical areas). This is a categorical variable and there are over 300 categories. Is it even possible to use this in a LPA? I want to look at a population density variable that varies across the different MSA's. It would be best to treat it as a categorical variable, but there are so many categories. |

| In Mplus a categorical variable can have no more than 10 categories for estimation purposes. |
