I am running into the empty cells warning for some variables. I have read a couple of articles on the methods for handling this problem with binary and 3-category data. I believe that Mplus offers the ADDFREQUENCY command that will place a constant in the empty cells. However, when I use this command the warning of empty cells still appears. The command I use under ANALYSIS: ADDFREQUENCY = .5; Should the empty cell warning go away when using this command? Thanks in advance. JB |

The zero frequency warnings are based on the data. The ADDFREQUENCY information is used during model estimation. |

Thank you. That clears it up for me. JB |
