I am running EFA with estimator = Bayes. I would like to understand how the Posterior probability for the number of factor is calculated (maybe a reference) and if it can be used to decide on how many factors to retain. I am also getting some strange values for DIC (it is positive then becomes highly negative) and ln(Bayes Factor) (goes from positive to negative and back). They seem unreliable. Is there anything that can be done to get them to make more sense?

Thanks!

There is a paper on the website that describes the technical implementation of Bayes.

Please send the output and your license number to support@statmodel.com.
