Hello -

I have been running EFAs in STATA but have been unable to run the same EFA in Mplus 4.0. In Mplus, I always get the " No converge" message, even after 20,000 iterations. I wondered if it was because my data is categorical and non-normal, but I was told this was not a necessity for a factor analysis. Can anyone explain this? I would eventually like to run a SEM in Mplus, but if I can't get the factor analysis to work, I am assuming neither will an SEM. Thanks!
