I am interested in applying factor analysis on a dataset, which seems zero-inflated. In the Mplus Userfs Guide, Example 4.3 (page 48), I found following instruction.
******Example 4.3******
gThe COUNT option is used to specify which dependent variables are treated as count variables in the model and its estimation and whether a Poisson or zero-inflated Poisson model will be estimated.h
***********************
Is it possible to use zero-inflated Poisson model in EFA? If so, how can I specify this? I tried by specifying factor indicators as COUNT (pi), but I received an error message saying gTYPE=EFA is not available when outcomes are inflated count variablesh.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

The COUNT option is not available for EFA.
