After reading user guild ch 11, there is no example about how to write "model population" for binary/ categorical indicators. Does anyone know how to generate Monte Carlo Simulation with binary indicators in EFA? Also, how to consider complex survey design variables (ex: psu, stratum, weight) together in commend? Thank you!

See mcex4.2.inp. This comes on the Mplus CD and is installed as the default.

Only clustered data can be generated at this time. Weights and stratification cannot be taken into account in data generation.

Thanks for your reply. Actually I am working on National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions (NESARC) survey. Since Mplus can't consider weights and stratification in data generation now, would you have better solutions to generate data in complex survey? Thank you!

You could generate data with weigths and stratification outside Mplus - Mplus can then analyze sets of such data using "external Monte Carlo".
