I would like to make a montecarlo analysis of an EFA where, apart from the loadings, the cronbach's alpha and the variance explained are known.
My question is: is it possible to impose the constraints in a montecarlo study of this EFA?
Thanks in advance,
Fernando.

You would have to set this up within a CFA and using Model Constraint.

Sorry Dr. Muthén, so it is possible to use Model Constraint in montecarlo studies? do you have any examples?
Thanks, Fernando.

You can use MODEL CONSTRAINT in Monte Carlo studies but not with EFA. For an example of a Monte Carlo study with MODEL CONSTRAINT, see mcex5.20.inp.
