Chi-square interpretation |

In EFA, when the structure is truly unknown, how important is it to consider solutions that have non-significant chi-square values (i.e., p>.05) or is it reasonable to consider a solution with one less factor that makes more sense in the context, even though the model fit is not so good. |

I would hesitate to interpret a model with poor fit even though it has a better interpretation. |
