The Mplus Version 6 Editor Update fixes the following issues in the editor for Mplus Version 6:
the file dialogs for File Open and File Save As can no longer be resized as in previous
versions, the Find Next function does not advance correctly in 64-bit versions, line and column numbers
do not appear in the status bar as in previous versions, and the Mplus Editor
is no longer backwards compatible with GPH files created from previous Mplus versions. The problem can be found
on Mplus Version 6 CDs and downloads of the Mplus Version 6 updates between April 26 and May 11.
To verify that this update is needed, open the Mplus Editor and click
on Help -> About. If the About Mplus dialog does not show the Mplus icon next to the version information,
then the update is needed. If the Mplus icon does appear next to the version information, check the
FileVersion field for the Mpluswin.exe file (locate the Mpluswin.exe file in the Mplus installation
directory, then right-click and select Properties). If the FileVersion field shows 6.0.0.4, then the
update is not necessary.
Instructions for applying the update
- Mplus Version 6 must be installed on your computer before applying the update.
- Download the update file by clicking on the link and saving it into a temporary
working directory, C:\TEMP for example.
Mplus Editor Update:
Mplusv6EditorUpdate.exe (last updated: May 12, 2010)
- Double-click on the downloaded file in Windows Explorer or run it from Start and Run.
- The update program will search the PATH environment variable for the file
Mpluswin.exe. If found, a dialog box of a self-extracting zip
file will appear. The zip file will unzip to C:\Program Files\Mplus
by default. Use the BROWSE button to change this location to the Mplus
installation directory. Press the UNZIP button when ready to extract.
