Hi, I'm running a fairly simple SEM (path analysis). My outcome, which is blood pressure is continuous. The main exposure variable, country of birth, is categorical. Most mediators specified in the SEM are continuous. However, a few such as smoking and education are categorical. Do I need to specify these in the input file as follows:
Categorical are
Education smoking
Or thus this apply only to outcome variables that are catgorical?

| Observed exogenous variables should not be on the CATEGORICAL list. This is for endogenous variables like mediators or final outcomes. |
