Hi,

I've been trying to run a SEM, but I keep getting the following error message, and I'm unable to figure out the problem:

INPUT INSTRUCTIONS
*** ERROR
The input file does not contain valid commands:
h:\stata\mplus\ethnicity_bw_bp\bp.inp

Does commands above refer to the syntax as specified under 'model' or all sysntax in general?

I've wriiten syntax under following headings and order:

Variable
Define
Analysis
Model
Output

I've crossed checked my input file several times as well as the dat. file. I can't see the problem! I am however fairly new to mplus....any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

/Amal.

Do you have

FILE IS h:\stata\mplus\ethnicity_bw_bp\bp.inp;

It seems the problem is with the file name. If you can't resolve it, send the output and your license number to support@statmodel.com.

Hello - I am recieve the same error when trying to run basic.
The input file does not contain valid commands:
/Applications/Mplus/analysis/hbsc/hbscbasic.inp

I have checked (and checked and checked) my input commands and cannot find an issue with them.

Thanks,
Heather
