via TSCORES and AT, Mplus allows to model individually varying observation times in growth curve models. Is it also possible to use this functionality outside the growth curve context? E.g., is it possible to implement a model of the kind: y ON x (b); MODEL CONSTRAINT: NEW(bstar); b = DEFINITIONVAR*bstar + 1; with bstar being a nonrandom but freely estimated regression coefficient, and DEFINITIONVAR being an observed variable that is otherwise not part of the model. Essentially, my question is does Mplus support definition variables? I am sorry if this question has been asked before, but I could not find an answer in the archives. Thus, I greatly appreciate any hint in the right direction. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! |

Would you be helped by the CONSTRAINT = x; option in the VARIABLE command, where x is an observed variable? See UG ex.5.23. |
