Hello

I've been recommended the Mplus program to conduct SEM to test the psychometric properties of a new measure.

I am wondering what people consider the advantages of Mplus are compared to AMOS and Lisrel.
Specifically, the types of analysis that Mplus can perform (rather than advantages, such as user-friendliness and helpful support services)?

Your responses are much appreciated.

It's difficult to compare programs and I have not looked at either LISREL or AMOS in years. I think that those programs are closest to our Base Program. In the Base Program besides covering continuous variables, we also cover censored, binary, ordered polytomous, nominal, and count variables including several models for count variables. We have Exploratory Factor Analyis (ESEM), a new alignment methods for comparing groups, latent variable interactions using maximum likelihood estimation, etc.
