Hi,

Could you please explain the differene between SEM and piecewise modeling? If you could recommend relevant articles that would be great.

SEM usually refers to models where the relationship among latent variables is explored. Piecewise modeling in my experience refers to a particular type of growth model. A piecewise growth model can be specified within an SEM framerwork. See textbooks on SEM and Growth Modeling.
