What is the correct way to equate new parameters in the constraint block? So, suppose I have...

new1=x1+y1;
new2=x2+y2;

and I want to test the hypothesis that new1=new2.

Should I write,

new1=x1+y1;
new1=x2+y2;

Or just add a line that says

new1=new2;

Thanks.

You first define new1, new2 in the Model constraint paragraph by

NEW(new1 new2);

then define new1 = and new2= as you have,

and then add the line

new1 = new2;

or

0 = new1-new2;
