Hello,

a friend of mine needs some help. I hope that here's someone who understands the problem. Let me try to explain.

The Problem is that there are a few intercorrelated predictos explaining one dependent variable. But in Mplus she only gets one result which includes the variance for ALL of the predictors. So there is readingcompetence explained by 80 % of variance. But there are a few predictors (e.g. sex, reading per day, socio-econimic status, etc.)- now we need a way to calculate the variance of each of the predictors. Which way do we need go with Mplus?

I hope we'll find some help here.
Thank you!!

Because the predictors are correlated, their contribution to R-square cannot be separated from the contribution of the other predictors.
