Hi Bengt and Linda,

I was informed recently by a journal reviewer that Mplus has the capabilities to run a latent variable interaction model using Sik-Yum Lee's MCMC algorithm. Is this so? If yes, can you provide an example of the Mplus code to run the model? How does one specify the interaction of two latent variable in Mplus, say between f2 and f3?

Thanks for you consideration.

Mplus does not do MCMC but can estimate a latent variable interaction using maximum likelihood. See the XWITH option.

Dear Drs. Muthen,

Using latent variable interaction, the output does not seem to provide R square--explained variances for the outcome variables. Is there anyway I can get R square?

Thank you very much!

See the Latent Variable Interaction FAQ on the website.
