Hi

Have been trying to use the rawSAT2.mx script as posted on your website for calculation of saturated statistics and test assumptions with twins (sex limitation model).

I have modified the script slightly in that I have reduced the number of zygosity groups from 6 to 5 but otherwise it is similar.

Have run into a problem in that the script will not run. Error message tells me that the variance of some of the variables (sex variables for twin 1 and twin 2 within each zygosity group) are zero. This is what I would have expected as the groups represent zygosity/ sex groups and must therefore have been the same in the example shown on the website.

I'm using version 5.0 and I think the website example is run on version 5.2

Any thoughts you have on what might be happening would be appreciated.

In the example on the website, the groups do have some variability on gender which they probably should not. In your case, do not use gender as a covariate because it has no variability within groups.
