Hello,

we have a variable that is dummy coded (0 and 1) and we want to use it as a predictor. We have entered this variable by using "Categorical are". We think in this case it is not possible to use a chi-square difference test to compare two nested models.

Is it possible to enter a dummy coded variable into a model as a predictor and to treat it intervall scaled?

It would be very kind if you can take the time to answer this question.

Best

The CATEGORICAL list is for dependent variables. In regression, covariates can be binary or continuous. In both cases, they are treated as continuous.
