I have a question about the USEOBSERVATIONS command and its interaction with ESTIMATOR =MLR. If I use the ESTIMATOR= MLR will the program still only select the cases under USEOBSERVATIONS to use for the analysis? Currently, when I combine these two commands, the output indicates that the # of observations is equal to my entire sample and not the selected cases.

Also, the variable that I am using as the selection variable for the USEOBSERVATIONS is not included anywhere else in the model and I am getting a warning that this variable is not correlated with any other variables in the model. Will this affect my model fit?

USEOBSERVATIONS selects a subset of observations for the analysis. The number of observations should reflect this. It is not dependent on the estimator used. I would need to see your output, data, and license number at support@statmodel.com to say more.
