Hi folks!
I was wondering if it is possible to specify a random intercept effect in a multilevel model. I was trying initially to just extend code along the lines of intercepts and slopes for growth curves- but that doesn't work- I can only estimate slopes.

Something along the lines of:
--snippet----
within=x1 x2 x3 x4 x5 x6;
between=sex ;
cluster=id;
ANALYSIS:
Type=twolevel random;
Model:
%within%
i s|y on x1;
y on x2 x3 x4 x5 x6;
%between%
y i s on sex;

Any clues would be appreciated! thanks!
Phil

Yes. See Example 9.1.
