Dear Linda, Dear Bengt,

I am currently trying to set up a multilevel path analysis, i.e. a moderated mediation model. On the individual level, the model contains the following variables: Values (X), Attitudes (Med), and Behaviors (Y).
Furthermore, the link between X and Med is moderated by two organizational level variables: Org. Climate (Mod1) and Practices(Mod2). The moderators exert also direct effects on the mediator.

Is there a possibility to analyze the model simultaneously, i.e. including the single level mediation?
Below is an excerpt of how I'd define the model in Mplus. Needless to say, this has not really worked yet.

- - -

Usevariables names are firm x med y mod 1 mod 2;

Cluster is firm;

Within is x med y;
Between is mod1 mod2;

Define: Center x mod 1 mod2 (Grandmean);

Analysis: Type is Twolevel Random;

%Between%
med on mod1;
med on mod2;
S on mod1;
S on mod2;

%Within%
S | med on x;
y on x;
y on med;

Model Indirect:

y IND x;

Output: Stdyx;

- - -

Is this correct or is there any other way I can analyze my model in MPLUS?

Thank you in advance.

You should remove med and y from the within list because med varies over between units due to the random slope which also makes y vary over between units.

On Between you can then add

y on med;
