Dear Professor, In my data, I have a weight that weights the level 2 units to the same size (to 1000). The number of observations differ (for example 3000 in the first level 2 unit and 1000 in the next level 2 unit). Is it correct to say that the multilevel procedure of mplus makes each level 2 unit have the same weight, or the same size so that they equally matter the same in the estimation? Thanks! |

If you do that weighting, then yes that would seem to be the case. But I am not sure I would recommend it. |
