Hello,

Using a MUML method to estimate a ML model I came upon some problems.

The variance components of the factors created to represent the items on the group level are below zero because they are lineary dependent.

Is this a common problem in ML?

This is not a problem with the method, but it may be a problem with your data. You should make sure that you check your variables for linear dependence using TYPE=BASIC before your analysis.
