Dear All, according to the Mplus approach (UG 230), in twolevel modeling xbj is the latent variable covariate used on the between level. I am interested in using these between-level means for further analyses. How can I extract this information from the Mplus - is is stored in the sigma_bw matrix? Many thanks |

The sample statistics given for TWOLEVEL when a variable is not on the WITHIN or BETWEEN list would reflect the latent variable decomposition you refer to. |

OK, but the output shows the overall mean only - what I would need would be the means for each between-grop unit. Can such information be requested using output: sampstat? |

I am not sure I understand what you mean by each between-group unit. Do you want the mean for each cluster? |

yes, ideally the mean for each cluster if this is possible |

This is not possible. |
